Hi, my name is Tristin Sahlie, I am a Division 1 beach volleyball athlete at California State University, Northridge and will be graduating with the class of 2023. Since I can remember, I've always loved playing volleyball, both indoor and beach, and always strived to be on the best club team so I could learn the most skills and get the most recognition to obtain a spot on a team at the D1 level. I've tried some clubs in the Monterey/Salinas area over the years but when I started playing for Sand City Volleyball Club, things took a turn, in such a great way!
Sand City Volleyball Club not only allowed me to play with some of the best players, but allowed me to be taught by some of the most creative and strategic coaches who perfected my technique and overall helped my performance on the court tremendously. The administration and coaching staff here are truly incomparable to other clubs in the area and you will definitely get your money's worth. Since some of the players and coaches from this club are beach players, it was easy for them to incorporate beach technique into indoor techniques, which is very difficult since they are two very different sports. Because of these strategies, SCVBC helped my game on the court and on the sand and which was beneficial because I accomplished my goal in obtaining a D1 beach volleyball scholarship to Cal State Northridge.
