David is passionate about volleyball and passing on his knowledge of the game so others can enjoy the benefits of playing for many years. David learned the game by watching and competing against some of the best indoor and beach volleyball players in the world. One of his biggest volleyball enjoyments is seeing athletes he coached as juniors still enjoying the sport in adulthood, whether playing indoors or on the beach.

David places a lot of emphasis on sound fundamental technique as well as observing court position and defensive responsibilities and developed drills and exercises proven to be effective in building volleyball skills and game knowledge. He enjoys working with younger athletes to teach proper technique early in their volleyball careers and believes proper fundamental technique leads to long-term consistency and success with fewer injuries. A long career in volleyball has helped him develop a strong understanding of coaching and running high-level team offense and defense strategies both to isolate blockers or defend an attack.  David has decades of experience in beach volleyball, having played tournaments at the highest level and coached for many years.
